We had a great day out at Memorial Park for the 3rd Annual Joint Venture Tournament. The novice division was on fire with some very impressive scores being posted.

6th Annual Fremont Tournament
July 22
Irvington Community Park, Fremont

Irvington Park in Fremont was home to the 6th Annual Fremont Tournament. Competitors were treated to perfect weather and a beautiful field to play on. Some very talented new teams in the novice division put on quite a showing in T & F while the long distance event put up some really great distance throws.

As always, the annual jerky contest was a real treat. It was very tough to decide upon the winner because each entry was delicious in its own way but in the end Carol Shyken's turkey jerky edged out Mark and Steve's to win this year.

Thank you Mark and Kim Youngberg for hosting this event every year. Congratulations go out to Mark & Lucky for receiving the 2012 DiscDoGG Hall of Fame award.

Golden State Disc Dog Championship
Lodi
October 20 & 21

The 12th Annual Crusty Classic/Golden State Disc Dog Championship returned to Lodi on Oct 20 & 21 to celebrate the memory of Steve "Crusty" Walsh & Rascal. A fun filled weekend was had by the dogs and we enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow disc doggers.

After two days of competition, Kirby McIlveen & Sketch claimed the Golden State Disc Dog Championship and Best in The West titles.
