Our third tournament was held at Nordvick Park in Fremont. We had perfect weather and a fun crowd. The distance throw down was exciting to watch. Wow, some great throws and catches were made by all the teams. Mark Youngberg defended his jerky master title once again against some tough competition by Carol Shyken & Steve Teer. Mike & Megan put together a nice BBQ that was enjoyed by all. A shout of thanks goes out to Mark & Kim Youngberg for hosting the event.

Our fourth tournament was held at Memorial Park in San Ramon. We had nice weather and a breeze that made things a bit challenging for all the teams. Carol & Robbie Shyken hosted a delicious BBQ which everyone enjoyed. Thank you Patrick & Sabrina Major for hosting the event at this great location.

Sept 6 - Northwest Park, Dixon

The 5th Annual Pups N Pubs competition was held at lovely Northwest Park in Dixon. Our hosts Steve and Jill Teer pulled out all the stops for another great Pups N Pubs tourny. We were blessed with good weather and great company. The winner's of the distance competition will have their pups on the 2010 long distance awards.

Crusty Classic -
Golden State Disc Dog Championship
Lancaster - Oct 3 & 4

On a very windy weekend in Lancaster, CA, Disc Dogs of the Golden Gate drove South with their game face on and ready to compete in the 9th Annual Crusty Classic/GSDDC.

Coming out on top of the event was Jonathan Offi and Aztec winning the honors of being named Best of the West Champion and California State Champion. Way to go Team Pit Bull!

On Saturday, DiscDogg members Michelle Martin and Jasmine had an excellent performance placing 4th overall for the weekend and Jason Largent and Jasmine earned a spot at this competition placing 2nd in open Toss n Fetch out of over 50 competitors.

On Sunday Steve Teer and Irish placed 1st in Freestyle followed by Jonathan and Aztec in 2nd place and Michelle and Jasmine taking 4th. Nor cal took the top 5 spots in the Toss n Fetch competition. Robbie Shyken and Taz placed 1st in Toss n Fetch with Donna Malmov and Sydney placing 2nd, Jason and Harley placing 3rd, Michelle and Harley placing 4th and Jason and Jasmine placing 5th out of over 30 competitors in this division. Mike Bucci and Gilroy made their freestyle debut.
