Our first competition of the year was held at Chestnut Park in Davis. Beautiful spring weather greeted us for the event and many new teams came out and had a fun time with their dogs. We ran two divisions of Distance/Accuracy only for this local competition.

The 3rd Annual Pups N Pubs Classic is in the books. Perfect sunny weather with just a slight breeze made for a great day at beautiful Hall Park in Dixon. We ran four divisions, Novice & Intermediate Toss & Catch and Intermediate & Open Freestyle/Toss & Catch.

Skyhoundz SW Regionals
El Monte, CA - June 16

Event Results

Congrats go out to DiscDoGG members Michelle Martin & Jason Largent for their excellent showing at the Skyhoundz SW Regionals with their dogs Harley & Jasmine.

Michelle & Harley placed 7th in the Open Division
while Jason & Jasmine took 2nd in the Expert Distance/Accuracy earning an invite to the '07 Skyhoundz World Finals in Atlanta.

Michelle entered Novice D/A with Jasmine and took 2nd place. To top it off with Jasmine, in the pairs D/A division Michelle & Jason took 1st place. She was one busy little dog at the regionals. Way to go Jasmine!

DiscDoGG member John Weigel & Chef were also there to throw down in the D/A event but an unfortunate cut to Chef's pad made them scratch. John & Chef will be back next year and Elvis too!

Southern California Frisbee Dog Challenge
"Wags for Wishes"
July 6-8 - Del Mar, CA

The DiscDoGG members who headed south to participate in this annual SoCal event had a great time. On Friday, Jason & Jasmine took 1st place in the USDDN Intermediate T&F division followed by Michelle with Harley in 5th and Lou with Tank in 12th place.

In the Novice T&F division Patrick and Sammy couldn't buy a catch but back on the flyball field he was catching everything in sight, go figure! Cindy & Tank took a turn in the Judges run and placed dead last in 11th. Oh well, someone has to hold up the rear! :-)

Saturday's Open division saw Michelle enter with Harley and Jasmine and Patrick with Sammy. There were some fine moments in their routines.

Sunday's line up of Toss and Fetch had over 100 entrants in the divisions offered. Overall a great event to check out with lots to do and see. Be sure to mark it on your calendars for next year.

Skyhoundz Local Competition Fremont - July 15

We had an outstanding day in Fremont for our second Skyhoundz local of the 2007 season. A total of 31 teams came out to enjoy a great time at Karl Nordvick Park.

Open Freestyle, Intermediate and Novice Distance/Accuracy were offered. A very fun Distance Throw Down event was held at the end.

Skyhoundz Local Competition So San Francisco - August 26

We beat the summer heat during our third Skyhoundz local with the cooling ocean breezes. The dogs didn't mind that one bit! We held standard Distance/Accuracy and Freestyle for this competition.

Our final 2007 Skyhoundz event was held at the fabulous WAG (Western Agility Group) Facility in Elk Grove. What a great place and turnout of 38 teams. We couldn't have asked for a nicer day.

We ran four divisions, Novice & Intermediate Toss & Catch and Intermediate & Open Freestyle/Toss & Catch.

Crusty Classic / Golden State Disc Dog Championship
Lancaster - Oct 6 & 7

The 7th annual Crusty Classic was held in Lancaster this year and saw 70+ teams come together to celebrate the commraderie of disc dogging.

Donna Malmlov and Sydney swept the two day event walking away with the coveted Golden State Disc Dog Championship and Best of the West titles. She is also the first woman in the Crusty Classic event series to earn either title.

Many DiscDoGG teams did very well over the weekend taking top honors in open, and intermediate divisions both days.
