DDoGG’s Demo At ACS “Bark For Life” Event

Last weekend demo team members of the Disc Dogs of the Golden Gate took part in the American Cancer Society Bark for Life event in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It was a beautiful venue and a fantastic event where they not only met their goal of raising $25k, but exceeded it.

This was the second year that this particular team of people, led by Daniel and Hannah, put this Bark for Life event on, and the first year that they had some canine demonstrations.

The team put on two shows, one just after 11am and another one just after 2pm.

The Latest Workshop Was a Ton of Fun…

Disc Dog Workshop

The latest workshop that the Disc Dogs of the Golden Gate hosted had a great turnout of about fifteen folks, some of which didn’t even have dogs! (Well, they were there trying to throw discs so we went over to help them out!)

There was a lot of disc throwing practice and some good ‘ol fashion sit down and chat time in the shade of some trees.

We ended the day with our usual, which is a Bust Eli At Distance Throwing (BEADT) contest, because he likes to brag and we like to see him eat some disc dirt.

Some anonymity was requested so rather than a results sheet, I’m only going to put up distances tossed. Yes, this time was a serious effort, with measuring tape and all.
